Eggless wheat jam rolls


Eggless Wheat jam rolls 






Ingredient;


2 ½ cup whole wheat flour
1 cup maida
¼ cup melted butter
2 tbsp powder sugar
1 ½ tsp dry yeast
½ cup jam
¼ cup confectioner’s sugar
1 ½ tbsp. butter
       1tbsp milk


Method;


1. Mixed yeast, powder sugar and warm water and keep it aside for 5 minutes to proof.
 2. Mix maida,whole wheat flour and 1 ½ tbsp. butter .
 3. Add proofed yeast to dry ingredient and mix well to form a soft dough.
 4. Knead for 10 minutes.
 5. Oil a bowl and place the dough into it.
 6. Cover the bowl with wrap or cloth and set it aside for 1 hour or until double.
 7. Dough size will double after 1 hour.
 8. Knead it and spread it with a roller in rectangular shape.
 9. Spread butter and jam evenly and sprinkle sugar
10.Roll it and cut it into 1 inch thick swirls.
11.Place on a baking tray or pan and allow to rise for 30 minutes.
12.Preheat oven to 180 C.
13.Coat the top of the roll with milk.
14.Bake it for 15-20 minutes.
15.Allow to cool.
16.Serve warm with tea or coffee.
