Pyaaz ki Kadhi recipe/ Punjabi Kadhi recipe/ Kadhi Pakoda recipe




Pyaaz ki kadhi|Punjabi kadhi















Ingredient:

For pakoda
3/4 cup gram flour/ besan
2 big  onion
½ tsp dry coriander powder
½ tsp red chilly powder
½ tsp turmeric
2 green chilly
water as required
½ tsp salt
Oil for fry


For Kadhi:
3 cup buttermilk
2 tbsp gram flour/ besan
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 onion (paste)
½ tsp turmeric
½ tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste

For temper:
1 tsp black mustard seeds
Some curry leave
2 red chilly whole
1 tsp kashmiri red chilly powder
1 tsp oil





Method:

For Onion Pakoda:
1.Peel,wash and sliced the onion.
2.Heat the oil in the pan .
3.In a bowl, Add sliced onion, besan, red chilly powder, dry coriander powder, chopped  green chilly, turmeric powder and salt and mix it.
4.Add some water and make a thick batter. So that all mixture properly coat on onion.
5.When the oil become hot , make a lemon size balls of mixture and deep fry them.
6.Deep Fry till golden color.
7.Strain on a paper napkin and keep it aside .


For kadhi:
1.Heat the oil in the pan.
2.Add ginger-Garlic paste and sauté it.
3.Add onion paste and stir it.
4.In a bowl, Add gram flour and ¼ cup buttermilk and it well .
5.Now add all buttermilk in the gram flour batter and make a nice thin batter.
6.Add cumin seeds and turmeric powder in onion paste and mix it well.
7.Now pour the buttermilk in the pan and cook for 10 mins .
8.Add onion pakoda and salt and cook for another 5-7 mins.
9. pour the kadhi in serving dish.
Temper:
1.Heat the oil in the pan.
2. When oil become hot,Add mustard seeds , curry leave and red chilly,red chilly powder and when mustard seeds crack , turn off the flame and pour the temper over the kadhi .

Serve hot with Jeera rice.
